| Recipe For Marian's Poppy Seed Cake | |||
| 2 oz poppy seeds 3/4 c whole milk 3 eggs (room temp) 1.25 cups sugar | 1 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. baking powder 1.5 sticks butter (soft) 2 cups all purpose flour | ||
| Combine poppy seeds and milk; let stand for 3-4 hours at room temp. Add all other ingredients. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 1 minute. Pour into greased and floured 8.5 by 4.5 by 2.5 loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tester comes out dry. Cool for 5 minutes then remove from pan. Freezes well. | |||

| Recipe for Marian’s Magic Marshmallow Puffs | |||
| 1/2 cup sugar (may need more) 2 t. cinnamon (or to taste) 1 stick butter or margarine (may need more!) | 8 marshmallows 1 can crescent rolls | ||
| Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter/margarine in shallow bowl. Combine sugar and cinnamon in shallow bowl. Spray muffin pans with Pam or equivalent. Dip marshmallow in butter. Roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Wrap in crescent roll, being sure to squeeze the edges shut. Dip in butter/margarine. Roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place in muffin tin, seam side down. Repeat for other 7 marshmallows. Place it on a sheet of foil in the oven and bake 10-15 minutes until brown. Where did the marshmallow go? | |||
